Job Title: Skills for Life Tutor | Apply

Location: North of England
Salary: £25,000 + £2,500 bonus on achievement of agreed objectives.

A National Training Provider is seeking to appoint a qualified Skills for Life Tutor to cover the north of England, delivering learning solutions using available provision and complimentary provision through one-to-one/group assessment and coaching in line with quality standards, performance and productivity targets.

Salary: £26,000
Mileage: 40 pence a mile, mileage allowance
Conditions: Assessors are Home Workers
Holidays: 25 Days Holiday per annum
Sickness: Sickness pay is discretionary
Pension: 3% contributory Pension scheme
Other: Laptop and Mobile provided

To facilitate, plan, deliver and assess NVQ training in Carry and Deliver Goods, supporting successful achievement of courses for learners in order to achieve required targets.

The successful applicant shall ideally have training, supervisory or management experience.  This is more important than currently holding the A1 Assessor Award.

You must have the following essential experience:
Be occupationally competent, should have worked in the Transport and Logistics sector and have appropriate experience, must have driven commercial vehicles, desirably up to HGV Class 1, have subject competence appropriate to the role, have presentation skills to a high degree and have support experience.  Safety training experience is desirable.

You must have the following skills:
The ability to work accurately to tight timescales through effective planning, the ability to communicate to a high standard, the ability to work under pressure, Business use of IT, good organisational skills, the ability to manage and motivate learners.

The following qualifications are desirable:
A1 Assessor Award or D32/33 Units.  Holding the ADR (Carriage of Dangerous Goods) qualification is desirable.

You must have the following personal attributes:
Be self motivated, reliable, flexible and adaptable, have a high level of accuracy, be willing to assist, have the ability to communicate well at all levels, be willing to work unsociable hours or weekends and have a willingness to travel for work purposes.
